What it does for us
Answers when we can't
Option 2 is there at any hour, so a caller out of hours can ask a question or leave their details instead of reaching voicemail only.
Knows what the site says
It reads the live pacing.agency pages every day, so it follows the site without anyone updating a separate script.
A summary in our pocket
After each call we get a text with the summary, the caller's details and the time they'd like a call back.
Nothing gets lost
Every call to the AI assistant is recorded and transcribed, and the summary lands in the CRM.
A safe way out
If ElevenLabs has an outage, option 2 drops off the menu, and a failed AI call goes to a person or voicemail.
ElevenLabs runs the AI assistant on our own phone line. When someone calls our main line and presses 2, they reach a voice assistant built on ElevenLabs' agents platform. The line itself is Twilio; the full story is on the phone line build page.
What the assistant does
- Answers from our website. Its knowledge is the main sections of the live pacing.agency site: home, about, approach, services, work, builds, contact, the posts and the numbers pages. ElevenLabs re-reads those pages daily, so a change on the site reaches the assistant within a day without anyone editing the assistant.
- Takes a message. It asks, one question at a time, for the caller's name, company, what they need, a number to call back on and a good time. Email only if the caller offers it. It reads the details back before the call ends.
- Tells us straight away. After each call we get a text with ElevenLabs' summary and the details it collected, and the call is logged in our Twenty CRM with the AI summary.
- Passes the caller to a person. If the caller asks for someone from the team, it transfers them back to the main line, where they press 1. It isn't a warm hand-off.
- Transcribes our voicemail. Messages left on the main line are sent to ElevenLabs' Scribe speech-to-text through n8n, and we get the transcript by text.
What it is built on
The model behind the conversation is Claude Haiku 5.5 from Anthropic, with a stock ElevenLabs voice (not a clone) and English only. If the model fails, ElevenLabs falls back to its default backup model. The assistant says it's an AI if asked, answers only from what's in its knowledge, and doesn't quote prices or promise results. For cost it points callers to a call with the team.
Nothing gets lost
Every call to the AI assistant is recorded and transcribed by ElevenLabs, and the summary lands in our CRM, so nothing a caller says is lost. Our plan on ElevenLabs is Starter, which is enough for one agent on its own UK number. Check ElevenLabs' pricing page for current plan prices.
When ElevenLabs has a problem
Option 2 depends on ElevenLabs, so the menu checks ElevenLabs' status page. While ElevenLabs reports a Telephony or Conversations outage, option 2 is left out of the menu. If an AI call fails anyway, the caller hears a short apology and goes the same way as option 1: a person in office hours, voicemail otherwise.
Settings, kept in our repository
The assistant's prompt, voice settings, transfer and the list of details it collects are files in our phone system repository. We change the files and apply them with a script, rather than editing the assistant by hand in the ElevenLabs dashboard, so the repository stays the record. Our n8n workflows carry the call events into the CRM.
What we connect it to
ElevenLabs hosts the voice agent, but the phone number, the menu and the fallback to a person are ours, built on Twilio. And a person calls back: the assistant takes details, it doesn't make promises.
TwilioTwilio owns the numbers and the menu. Option 2 dials the number the ElevenLabs assistant answers.
AnthropicClaude Haiku 5.5 is the model behind the conversation.

n8nCarries the call events into the CRM and sends voicemail recordings to ElevenLabs for transcription.
Services that use it
We don't sell it on its own. Each of these services uses it alongside the rest of your setup.
- AI SetupWe install Cursor and Claude Code for you or your team, write the rules that keep them safe, and connect them to the tools you already use. You don't need to know how to code.Related tools: Cursor, Claude Code, Anthropic, GitHubHow it fits
- Custom BuildsWhen nothing you can buy does the job, we build the missing piece and connect it to the rest. We've built and run several of these for ourselves. How it fits
