Website design and development

Websites with a bit of character

We design every site around the business it's for, build it in Webflow, Astro or Shopify, and hand it over so your team can edit it. These are some of them.

Webflow Certified Partner and Shopify Partner. Sector7 won a Web Excellence Award in 2025.

Each site its own look

We don't have a house style. You do.

Every headline here is cropped from the live site. The fonts and colours are the ones each site uses, and they came from the client's brand, not a template.

Design systems, not just websites

We design a set of blocks, not a stack of pages

We design the blocks each site is built from: the hero, the service cards, a product grid, a booking widget, all in the client's own brand. Your team can then put new pages together from the same set.

Our own site runs on 109 block types, and new pages are built from them in the editor.

In detail

How a project runs

  1. Discover. We look at your goals, your audience and what the current site is and isn't doing. You get a short list of the pages and journeys that matter most, usually home, services and contact.
  2. Design. We draw those pages in Figma and you comment in the file. Nothing gets built until the layout is agreed, so there are no surprises later.
  3. Build. We build it in Webflow, or in Astro with Keystatic when the site needs custom code, and on Shopify for shops. Forms are wired to your CRM and tracking is set up as we go.
  4. Test and launch. We check every page on phone and desktop, test the forms, and make sure the first visitor is already counted. Old addresses are redirected to the new pages.
  5. Hand over. We show your team how to edit pages and CMS content themselves, so small changes don't need a developer.

At the end you have the new site, a design file you can reuse, working forms and tracking, and a team that can edit it. If the old look is holding you back, a rebrand can go alongside.

On WordPress? We move you to Webflow or Astro, whichever suits the site, and keep your old addresses working.

What's the difference between UX and UI design?

UX (user experience) is how a visitor moves through your site and whether they get to what they came for. UI (user interface) is how it looks: layout, type, colour and buttons.

If it takes five clicks to reach the page that makes you money, that's a UX problem. Both are part of our website design and development.

What platforms do you use for website development?

We pick the platform for the site, not the other way round. Webflow suits a site your team edits itself, Astro with Keystatic suits a site that needs custom code (our own site runs on it), and for shops we use Shopify (we've built a custom Webflow storefront on Shopify).

We don't build or maintain WordPress. If you're on it, we'll move you to Webflow or Astro, whichever suits the site.

How do you approach a website redesign or rebuild?

We start with your goals, your visitors and what the current site is doing. Then we draw the key pages in Figma and agree them with you, and only then build, on the platform that suits the site. We talk the design through with you on a call before the build starts.

What is website design and development?

It's planning, designing, building and launching a website. Design covers how it's laid out and how it looks. Development is building it so it works and is easy for you to edit.

We draw the layout in Figma, agree it with you, then build it on the platform that suits the site, and set up tracking and forms before launch.

How do you handle website maintenance and updates?

On Webflow there's no server or plugin to update, so maintenance is mostly content changes, fixes and checks. Our ongoing management service covers content changes, DNS and Cloudflare settings, form spam checks, and testing that tracking and forms still work after a change.

How do you ensure my website is mobile-friendly and accessible?

On our own site, checking pages at phone width is a written rule with a check script behind it: text size, tap targets and layout. Phone checks before launch are part of how we build.

Accessibility is a separate job. We don't issue an accessibility certificate, and a formal audit against WCAG isn't something we provide.
