Teams we've worked with
Six things we plan for
Leaving Framer means a rebuild, not an export. Most of the trouble is in what has to be recreated by hand.
There's no export to start from
Framer's help says it doesn't offer HTML export for self-hosting, and published sites depend on Framer's backend, so they can't be moved as standalone files. We work from your live pages and crawl them for every URL, title and form.
Content that has to be rebuilt, not copied
Without an export, text, images and CMS items are recreated in Webflow collections and pages, then checked against the Framer page. We agree up front which animations and effects are worth rebuilding.
A changed slug is a changed URL
Every address that changes needs a permanent redirect to the page that replaced it, and Google recommends mapping page to page. We match Framer's slugs in Webflow wherever we can and redirect the rest.
Redirects you already set in Framer
Framer's redirects sit under Site Settings, Hosting, Redirects and only cover sub-paths on your own domain. We list yours and recreate them in Webflow, where 301 redirects can be loaded as a CSV.
Forms that go nowhere
A form rebuilt without its destination looks fine and loses enquiries. We list every form, rebuild it in Webflow, set who gets the notification, and send a test enquiry. Webflow stores submissions, which can be exported as a CSV.
Tracking that drifts
Events, pixels and conversion tags come from the old site's settings. We list them before the move and check each against a test enquiry on the new site.
Your content, on a CMS your team can edit
Content moved, addresses kept, and a CMS your team can edit without a developer.
A full list of your Framer site
Every page, CMS item, form, redirect and tracking tag, taken from the published site, so nothing is missed in the rebuild.
CMS collections in Webflow
Your blog, case studies, team or whatever lists you run rebuilt as Webflow collections, with fields that match how you edit them.
Pages rebuilt and compared
Layouts rebuilt in Webflow and compared with the Framer page, side by side, before anything goes live.
Slugs matched, redirects recreated
The same slug for each page and CMS item where we can, and a redirect map for every address that changes, loaded as a CSV.
Forms rebuilt and tested
Each form rebuilt in Webflow, notifications going to the right people, and a test enquiry sent to confirm where it lands.
Tracking
GA4, Google Ads and Meta checked after the move, with the tag container carried across.
Reviewed before it's live
We build on Webflow's staging site, so you can read every page next to the Framer one before it goes public.
A site your team can edit
Text, images and CMS content changed in Webflow's Editor without a developer, with hosting included.
What we connect Webflow to
Webflow carries the pages and the CMS. These are the tools around it, and what each wire carries.
Webflow hosts the pages, but it can't tell you which visit became an enquiry. We join the form to your CRM and the tags to GA4.
GTMCarries the tag container and the form events.
n8nReceives every form post and follows the enquiry up.
Astro + KeystaticWhere we build instead when a site needs custom code.
Google GeminiImages made with Gemini go onto Webflow CMS pages as drafts.
CursorWe read and edit content through MCP, and always read first.
FigmaWhere the site suits it, layouts agreed in Figma are built in Webflow.
Who this is for
For you if
- Your site has outgrown Framer and your team needs a CMS that can scale.
- Your blog or CMS content ranks, and you want every address kept.
- You want a plan before anything is touched.
Not for you if
- You want to move onto Framer. We move teams off it, not onto it.
- Framer does the job and you only want it tidied. We'd rather tell you to stay than rebuild it.
- You need the site as code you host yourself. That's Astro, not Webflow, and we'll say so.
What changes when you move
They look similar from the outside. These are the differences that affect a move.
| What matters | Framer | |
|---|---|---|
| Exporting the site | Code export of static pages, without the CMS, Ecommerce, forms or site search. | Not available as standalone HTML for self-hosting. |
| Redirects | 301 redirects with CSV import and export. | Under Site Settings, Hosting, Redirects, within your own domain. |
| Getting content in | CMS collections take CSV imports. | Rebuilt by hand during a move, since the published site can't be exported. |
| Form submissions | Stored in Webflow, where they can be exported as a CSV. | Rebuilt and tested during the move. |

You get the collection structure, the slug and redirect approach, and a timeline in writing, before we start.

Questions people ask before booking
Straight answers, so you know what to expect.
Still have a question?
Book a callWhat are the benefits of Webflow's CMS for marketing teams?
Your team can change text, images and CMS content in Webflow's Editor without raising a ticket. You also get collections with your own fields, so a case study, a service or a team member each has the layout it needs.
We set up the CMS and show your team how to use it as part of our website development service.
Who does the rebuild?
You talk to Ben or Cam, the people who do the work. We reply within one working day, and you get the collection structure, redirects and timeline in writing before we start.
Can we export our site from Framer?
Framer's help says it doesn't offer HTML export for self-hosting, and published sites can't be moved as standalone files. That's why leaving is a rebuild, done from your live pages.
Will we lose our Google rankings?
We can't promise that, and nobody honest can. Google says to expect temporary fluctuation during a move. We keep slugs the same where we can, redirect the rest with permanent redirects and check Search Console daily for two weeks.
Do our Framer redirects come across?
Not automatically. We list the ones you've set under Site Settings, Hosting, Redirects and recreate them in Webflow, which accepts 301 redirects as a CSV.
What happens to our forms?
We rebuild each one in Webflow and send a test enquiry to confirm where it lands. Webflow stores submissions and they can be exported as a CSV.
Do you recommend moving?
Only if there's a reason. If Framer does the job, we'll tell you to stay. If you need the site as code you host yourself, we'd look at Astro instead.
How long does it take?
A Framer to Webflow migration used to take months. Now it can take weeks, or even days. The biggest factor is how quickly your team can review the work and give feedback. You'll see the timeline in the written plan before we start.
